The Jinn Vs The Cold
The jins see us but we do not see them because Allah has made a membrane in the eyes of man so that we do not see them because if we see them we might die of fear or become blind because of the shock. Their sight is really terrifying .
goblin :/ˈɡɒblɪn/ (in folklore and fantasy fiction) a mischievous, ugly creature resembling a dwarf.
According to the famous English folklorist, Katharine Mary Briggs (1898-1980), goblins are evil and ill-intentioned spirits.
They are depicted as short creatures with green fur, horns, pointy ears and cat-like eyes who assume human form to trick humans. In addition, the goblins can't deal with nutmeg as it is their only weakness...
The Jinns (Devils) fear the cold just as humans fear the fire!
– An excellent method to ward off evil spirits and attacks.
In section [11] al-Dabbagh says: ‘A Jinnee (Jinn) in Hell isn’t punished in burning fire because fire is his nature and causes him no harm. Instead, he’s punished in severe frost (zamharfr) and cold. And in the world the Jinn have a great fear of the cold.’

In the summer you see the Jinn in the air being fearful that a cold breeze will blow. They’re ready to take flight from the cold like a wild onager. As for water, the Jinn and the satans never enter it. Should they do so, they’d entirely dissolve, the way a human being dissolves in fire. The Jinnee’s form resembles the shapes you see in the dark flames and coiling smoke of a potter’s fire.
Al-Jathaam or al-Jathoom is the kaboos that descends upon a person at night… the one that descends upon a person when he is sleeping is called al-jathoom. The kaboos is the one that descends upon the sleeper at night. And it was said that it is the precursor to epilepsy. One of the linguists said: I do not think that it is an Arabic word; rather it is al-naydalaan;it is also known as al-barook or al-jathoom – Lisaan al-Arab (6/190).
According to modern science, al-jathoom is a disease that may occur after over-eating or taking a high dose of medicine. It is also known as sleep paralysis in medical science.
Jann: The Medieval Sunni mystic Ibn Arabi, famous for his teachings of Unity of Existence, describes Jann, the father of jinn, as the origin of animal power. Accordingly, God created Jann as the interior of human being, the animal soul hidden from the senses.
What is sleeping paralysis in Islam?
Sleep paralysis is a rapid eye movement parasomnia characterized by inability to move at sleep onset or upon awakening. It is frequently accompanied by frightening hallucinations; therefore, it is called nightmare (kabus in Arabic Islamic literature).
How Can We Protect Ourselves From Al-Jathoom?
May Allah protect us from all the evil spirits, Ameen!
Benefits of Reciting Ayatul Kursi
Below are some benefits of reciting Ayatul Kursi that every Muslims needs to know:
- One who recites Ayatul Kursi every morning will be in the protection, the safety of Allah until the night.
- If a person recites it once, when going out of the home, Almighty Allah has a group of Angels to come and protect him/her. If recited twice, then two groups of Angels are assigned to do this. If recited thrice, Allah tells the Angels not to worry as the Almighty himself takes care of the person.
- Allah Almighty told Hazrat Musa (A.S), “If one recites it after every Nimaz, the Almighty Allah will make his heart a thankful one, will give him a reward of the Prophets and his deeds will be like those of the truthful and nothing except death will stop will stop him from going into heaven.”
- Holy Prophet (SAW) said: “These things increase ones memory: sweets, the meat of an animal which is slaughtered in Islamic manner near the neck, Lentils, cold bread and recitation of Ayatul Kursi.”
- Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “If one recites Ayatul Kursi before going to sleep, Allah will send an Angel to come and look after you and protect.”
- One who recites Ayatul Kursi after every prayer, their Nimaz will be accepted, and they will remain in the safety of the Allah Almighty and He will protect them.
- Frequent recitation of Ayatul Kursi makes one’s own death easy.
- When someone is alone in the home, recitation of Ayatul Kursi will make him/her remain calm and will not fear.
They always live around us and there are 3 types of them :
- Elifrit -this ones have the ability to transfer things from one country to another and they are used by witches and sorcerers
- Alkhabal- these are the freaks of the jin and they disturb man such as wearing their clothes, eplilepsy and so on
- Ghilan- They appear in form of man,cat, dog, donkey, or any animal.
Generally? All of them are weak and they flee when they hear Surat Yassin, muawadhatein, or surat baqarah. Therefore I advise you dear muslim brother or sister;

1. When you change your clothes say bismillahi Rahmani Raheem, so that they don’t see your nakedness.
2. When you sleep, sleep on your right side and read the Muawadhatein because the jin will sleep over you and suffocate you and also make you have nightmares just to bother you.
3. Beware of planting pins or nails in the puppets or dolls for they live there. If you disturb them, they will revenge on you.
4. Do not speak loudly in the middle of the night because you can upset them and they deliberately hurt you in silence
5. Do not cry alone because your jin becomes sad on your sadness and they wait to hug you so your body temperature goes high.
6. You should Mention Allah when throwing something and jumping from a high place because there might be a jin sleeping and you disturb them and they revenge on you.
7. Don’t pour hot water in the toilet unless you say the dua for entering the toilet (Allahuma inni audhu bika minal khubuthi wal khabaaith )
Because toilets are their favorite place to stay.
8. If you feel your ears whistling without a cause or illness and you can smell fire, know that a jin is standing in front of you.
9. If you see an animal and you get scared or you try to scare it but doesnt respond, know that its a jinn.
10. Dont stand undressed in front of a mirror or look at yourself since a jinn can fall in love with you and will try to mingle with you and end up hurting anyone who approaches you.
Don’t be scared. Always remember Allah for they melt when Allah is mentioned just like metal that melts in the fire.
( Muawadhatein means, Suratul Nass and Suratul Falaque)
While details about the appearance and abilities of jinn vary, stories about these creatures can be found in the Koran, the sacred scripture of Islam. Like humans, the jinn can choose between good and evil, procreate, and will eventually die. It is said that they live in deserted places, caves, graveyards, and, disconcertingly, darkness.
In Islamic culture, sleeping on the right, especially in the early stage of sleep, is recommended according to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad. In their ritual book it says to perform ablution like that for the prayer whenever you go to bed, and lie on your right side.
- Dear God, as I lay me down to sleep, relax the tension of my body;
- calm the restlessness of my mind;
- still the thoughts which worry and perplex me.
